Awakening at the Threshold
The human view is telescopic
oscillating between the microscope
and the vastness of the far flung night sky;
our daily vision entrained to the surface of things,
our emotional bindings to the tangible,
our mentality limited by convention,
culture and our belief in limitation.
The Earth is a smallish planet
amidst the solar field of an organic whole
traveling through space at incredible speed;
as the energetics of our solar system evolve
so the climate of Earth changes,
the constructs of human concern,
of indeed every molecule and atom.
Strangely our miniscule selves
in ant like function
impact the solar framework,
as we have for millennia,
yet we now emerge from a rigid carapace
as Gaia is released from the confinement of history.
She is poisoned and abused, glorious and untouched,
the paradox of Her transcendence and immanence
the conundrum of the human creature
awakening from the introversion of mortality.
From far above the blue jewel soars gracefully,
Her sister planets and family of stars
arcing toward a destination we might term Heaven,
not a place but an energetic field
as Earth opens to a new era of exploration.
The human race stirs slowly toward the inevitable question,
to remain asleep and remain with the carapace
or awaken to Self and join Gaia in the star light.
There is life in both directions and many more
yet here at the threshold only the awakened will pass.
How odd for this creature to face its own destiny,
to find itself inured with corruption
while possessing a passport to the stars.
Each choice for the emergence opens the energetic door
for those who may yet awaken and come forth.
Gaia will not wait, Her time is upon Her.
