Ignorance is a source of pride
for the soul deprived,
walking the Earth without seeing
repeating their oaths to god and country
like boards nailed against the windows
of their empty houses
lest the slightest ray of light
intrude on their inner darkness
to call them from their fear filled caves
into the moment of awakening
the real God is creating, now.
