Not content to waste one' time
a deeper peace may be found in waiting,
not idle nor misused
but quiet within and alert
like being in the mother's room
as the babe journeys down the birth canal,
a frightening even ominous challenge
to allow the pace of mother and child
and the greater wisdom so rarely revealed.
There is a birth coming
not merely singular;
this difficult night
will have its day.
