OUR TROOPS ARE BULLIES. SHOULD WE HONOR THEM?

I received a letter and enclosures from you on behalf of the Freedom Alliance, which is trying to improve the lot of American service people.
I will not contribute and here is why.
You wrote “The Support Our Troops program honors the members of our Armed Forces who secure the liberty with which God has blessed us.”
We have not fought a defensive war since the War of 1812,*
The wars we are now engaged in do not “secure our liberty.”
How could Iraq, Afghanistan or Libya have threatened our liberties? We are attacking other countries and destroying their liberties along with their property and their lives.**
Marine General Smedley Butler said in the 1930’s: “War is a racket.” True then. True now.
I imagine you would point to the “War on Terror.” Since the huge disaster of 9/11*** the only terrorist “attacks” have been pitiful little one man things, with many if not all of them instigated by elements of our government to keep the populace ready to fight this so-called “War on Terror.”
Our Armed Forces, brave as their individual members may be, have become bully boys fighting wars against little countries nowhere near our equal militarily. That is the definition of a bully. These wars are destroying and bankrupting this country.
General, your energies would be better spent working to get our military home.

Do you really believe the myth that 19 ill-trained Muslims defeated our military? Can you see a few physically inferior young Muslims armed with boxcutters taking over planes filled with physically superior Americans?
